has just celebrated its fourteenth anniversary of locally
manufacturing quality. Single use medical products such as ECG
electrodes, Electro surgical
products, and a full range of ultrasound
gels and ECG creams.
Electro-Spyres
has, since inception, committed itself to ongoing research and
development to ensure its products meet the competitive price
and quality standards one would expect from a developed country
and for a well-informed consumer.
As
the only manufacturer of conductive and adhesive hydrogelled
ECG electrodes in the southern hemisphere, our research and
manufacturing expanded the application of this technology to
woundcare products, utilizing moist wound-healing techniques.
The
launch of our Artemis Wound Care
range of products four years ago was the highlight of our
tenth anniversary. The wound care range comprises Spiroderm
(TM), breathable film dressings; Protoderm
(TM), island dressings with peel-tab; Epiderm
(TM), adhesive wound-closure strips; Hydroderm
(TM), transparent, hypoallergenic wound-exudate absorbing Hydrogel
dressings; Philoderm (TM),
non-adhering, absorbent cotton dressings.
Blue
Trode (TM) is the new millennium range of blue-coloured
electrocardiograph electrodes. Our in-house research has
developed ECG electrodes constructed of cloth, foam, vinyl and
microporous fabric. Our in-house Hydrogel
research created an adhesive and conductive gel electrode,
doing away with messy aqueous-gel and the complications of
product dry-out.
The
product has a conservative shelf-life exceeding 3 years.
Thermo-blue
(TM) is a comprehensive range of blue-coloured
electrosurgical accessories such as grounding patient pads, electrosurgical
pens, and various cables, surgical
adaptors, etc.
Our
grounding pads are constructed with conductive gel, in one or
two element configurations, in adult and pediatric sizes; with
and without pre-attached cords. Our comprehensive range of
surgical pens are supplied in foot
or hand-control
configurations with a large selection of surgical electrode
tips for all electro-surgical procedures.
Our
Thermo-Gel (TM) hot/cold packs for
hot/cold therapy, sports medicine, physiotherapy, trauma etc.
compliments our acoustically conductive Ultra-gel
(TM) products for ultrasound (sonar therapies) and
diagnoses and our ionically conductive Electro-Gel
(TM) is commonly used for electrocardiography, defibrillation,
myography, biofeedback etc.
Electro-Spyres
exhibits internationally every year and exports to 18
countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North
America. In Southern Africa, Electro-Spyres distributes its
products through a large independent dealer network.
The
company employs 30 staff and operates fully automated,
intermittent and continuous web-processing equipment in its
own fully-owned premises in Troyeville, Johannesburg.
